The Woman Who Came on a Night Train
Set in revolt-prone South Korea in 1982, The Woman Who Came on a Night Train
tells a story of trauma and memory involving three characters: A woman fleeing the murder
investigation of her lover hides in a small village at the house of her childhood friend of whom
she has no memory. Her fifty-year-old friend, a widower of two years, talks to his wife at her
grave every morning. A nine-year-old girl wants to find a friend for her lonely, unhappy mother.
These three lives converge when an unforeseen tragedy comes to this insular village.
