The Korean Wife

This story concerns separateness as a human condition.
In 1979, the newly-married Korean wife of an American soldier remains in Korea when
her husband is discharged from the Army. He never sends for her as promised. With her
marriage certificate in hand, she sets out to reunite with her husband. Not being able to forgive
her husband and rekindle her affection even after many years of marriage, she divorces and
charts a life of her own.
